Oil on Stretched Canvas 40” x 30”

This painting was commissioned by Lockheed Martin UK to mark upgrades to the Royal Navy Merlin Helicopter fleet, as part of the Merlin Capability Sustainment Programme (MCSP).

The painting brief was for a scene depicting two Merlins flying over the sea, with both sides of the helicopter visible to clearly show the various upgrades. I suggested a low-level scene with the Merlins flying over a rough sea and this became the basis for the painting.
